Ouija Board

Let's see how this device can be used and if it is really a game.

Talking boards were made in ancient Hellas and China. Today we have ouija boards.

Oui means yes in french.
Ja means yes in german.

It was patented by William Fuld. The Parker Games Syndication in U.S.A. made the boards in 1892.

Description

The boards consisits of two arc lines with the letters of the alphabet. A yes/no and goodbye word, to make the communication easier. A planchette is used, it is a tool for indicating the letters. A glass is also used as a planchette.

So, if you ask yourself if ouija boards is a tool that can be used for magick, the answer is yes. A spirit can be summoned by a group of people or a spirit of the place is called. Ouija provides a mean to the spirit to answer to us in a way that we can understand. There are other techniques too, like automatic writing or cards or mirror divination but ouija is more closer to us.

Not a game

Some people, who have no idea of magick, they believe that ouija is a game. In fact, it was sold as a game when it was constructed, but, who rational man want to disturb the peace of the unknown people in order to have fun? And if things go out of control, who is going to fix the situation if noone has the knowledge? One friend of mine, was a part of one of those groups in Mytilene. The groups was consisted by university students, who gathered in a house and asked questions without cause. Some day, one spirit asked them weird things. They stopped. So, use common sense.

Warning

When you use magick, you must be balanced, especially mentally healthy. You must know what you are doing. The article is for encyclopaedic purposes only.

How it works

Like automatic writing and pendulum, human muscles move the planchette. So, the answers are yours, but not exactly yours. You know the answer inside, but you cannot communicate with this area of your brain, the collective unconscious. The spirits make the muscles move and show you their answers. They are not always valid, this depends from the group and mainly from the top witch, the one who asks and has a main influence on the group.

A communication witch tool

With ouija board we can access the astral plane without projecting our astral body. Like in astral projection not everything is as seen. So, test the entity with questions and don't believe everything it says. Just be honest and true when you ask questions and your intent should be pure. All those feeling project through your astral body and draw entities.

How it works

To have a good communication ritual, you need to find some friends who can change their consiousness or they can just feel very comfortable and relaxed. Do not use salt or time measuring devices. There is no time in the circle. Be careful of the vibrations you carry. The days of the sabbats are good for communicating with the other side, after noon, at darkness of the night etc. The table should be purified and consecrated. For safety reasons, cleansing of the space, banishing negativity and entering a circle are some good ideas to be considered. Asking a divine entity to help you contacting is a good idea too. You must create sacred space even with vizualisation techniques. Light incense when you start using the board, but do not use incenses that make spirits materialise (mullein etc.) Visualize a white dot and see it grow and getting bigger forming a tunnel. Think that your way of thinking is passing through this tunnel. This is a connection line with the astral realm. Now, go back and open your eyes.

One person asks. The questions should be written from before, at least some of them. Another person is not participating but he is writing every answer. You are ready to ask your first question:

  • Is somebody here?
When the spirit will answer yes. Say: Thank you for the response. Please bring back to the center the planchette. (Be polite.) If the spirit will now answer, ask again. Ask again. If there will be no answer, try another time.
  • Who are you? Tell me about your identity.
  • Do you have a message?
  • Who should get the message?
  • Have you something else to say?
  • Please depart in peace. Or move the planchette to the goodbye answer. Sometimes the spirit will move the planchette to the goodbye answee, by its own will.

Now close the tunnel, vanish the light and form a dot. Vanish the dot. Nothing is connecting you with the other worlds. All persons should center themselves. Please remember that one person of the group is asking questions. One is writing the letters. All the participants should hold their index finger in the glass and noone should leave it until the end.

Some tips

Be serious when you contact with the spirits. You should be calm and well balanced. All the persons of the group should be serious, kind, respect the procedure etc. Four people or more is a good amount for the group. It's based in a common law of magick. Don't forget, it is a Witchcraft technique. Do not push the planchette. Do not let any other person ask a question. Noone should move their finger. Banish the spirit if things go crazy. Ask the spirit to rephrase or guess the correct answer and ask it to validate it. If the spirit doesn't answers, please rephrase the question. Use a good planchette that indicates only one letter. All the group should have their feet on earth. Cover the board with black linen or cotton after the procedure. You can make your own board with cards. Use a lower attrition surface. Remember, the answers are not always true and the spirit is not always the one that it says. And a last advice, the board is not a mean to solve your problems.

If you want to contact with a Goddess, invoke before using the ouija board. When you make the tunnel visualization, see the Goddess and chant her name or a mantra. Then ask if she is in the place and ask her to say about her history. You would understand if the entity is the one who says. Burn incense that is appropriate to her and have a representation of her.
